I love finding new erotic toy companies with a fresh, unique perspective and ideology. ErosandIsis.com is a British Columbia company who are “loving and inspirational alternative” to the mass-produced, second-rate, sex toy manufacturers that makes up 80% of the North American market for sex toys.
ErosandIsis has both an ethical and environmental approach behind their products with a whimsical retro appeal that is very Art Nouveau. Think roaring 20s erotic fashions made from sustainable fabrics, mythical art deco objects of lust, and aphrodisiac organic massage oils in recycled glass bottles, and you will get an idea of what ErosandIsis are all about.
Their line of sensual adult toys are made from 100% silicone and are exquisite objects d’art. With names like Lancelot, Cleo and Leo the Lion, their inspiration lies in mythical eroticism and fervent fantasies. Each erotic object is disguised as a fine art collectable and resemble antiqued silver, jade or gold chess pieces or figurines. Every design is made by artisans who create hand-carved molds and are 5” tall or less.
I received Leo the Lion for review and he is gorgeous. Leo has a pointed tip that works as a clitoral stimulator once you have inserted a vibrating bullet vibe up his base. The bullet that came with Leo was not very good, it kept dying as soon as I inserted it, and I couldn’t keep it going. Luckily, I have plenty of bullets hanging around, so I inserted the Speeding Bullet I got from Evolved Novelties which is a wicked little multi-speed bullet built for power. This bullet’s power resonated well down the length of the silicone body and turned it into a great little vibrator.
Because the Leo has a fairly large head half way down the body, you can only use it for very mild penetration. I would have liked to try something like Cleo, which has a bulbous head and looks like it would work for G-spot stimulation, so something with more penetration length, so I could adequately test it as a dildo as well. So I used the Leo on my clitoris while using one of my G-spot toys for penetration and built up to an amazing dual orgasm as I alternated between the two (one of the best I’ve had in a long time!).
I love ErosandIsis’ whimsical designs, as well as their ethical and environmental philosophy. I also love that they are North American based and make all their own products themselves. The only disappointment I had was with the bullet vibe, so I hope they find a better alternative to powering their unique line of sensual toys, as it would certainly be an investment, as the toys themselves are divine. I look forward to seeing what other innovations ErosandIsis come up with in the future. For a new erotic toy company, I think they are off to a fabulous start and look forward to trying some of their other products as well!
