Virtual sex anyone?

At one time the idea of having sex with someone who was not actually in the same room as you was a sci-fic futuristic fantasy, but these days we are much closer to doing the real thing in cyberspace real time.

In fact, you can now watch VR porn (called Teledildonics VR aka Virtual Reality) which is shot in stereoscopic 3D with a 180 degrees high def video that simulates you having sex with your favorite porn star from the intimate comfort of your home using your smart phone. Hoo-ah!

And, while you may not get the full sensory stimuli, like the “scent of a lady” you can easily hook up a teledildonics sex toy controlled by Bluetooth technology, like the Oculus Rift using VR head gear, or your Fleshlight (Vstroker) and you are virtually there, watching your cybernetic lover give you an amazing blow job.

Teledildonics (also known as Cyberdildonics) uses the internet, virtual reality (VR) headgear, and a sex toy to create an interactive experience that is automated and responsive to the viewer’s reactions or controls to simulate on-screen sex with haptic (touch) based technology. Basically, it allows users to replicate having sex with a virtual on-screen lover as the sex toy mimics sex on the operator using vibrations, pulses, movements and squeezes. Teledildonics tries to create remote sexual encounters with the real sensations of touch transmitted via computer technology.

The idea of VR-Sex evolved from science fiction and futuristic movies like Woody Allen’s Sleeper (1973) which featured an Orgasmatron or the Excessive Machine from Barbarella (1968). These films showed the dark side of excessive pleasure from machine-based interaction, rather than human sexual encounters, but the idea still remained intriguing. Many science fiction films involving robot/machine-sex or VR warned about exchanging real human intimacy, love and sex with unfeeling technology which could lead to a comatose society or even worse, robots killing humans (Terminator (1984) & Blade Runner (1982)).

In 1968 the first VR technology was invented but it was too cumbersome for the personal market. Soon after the gaming market (Sega/Atari/Genesis/Nintendo) attempted to create numerous headgear sets, glasses, and gloves to simulate a real experience in virtual space.

The Oculus Rift (invented in 2012) enabled gamers to go virtual and of course the porn industry jumped in to apply that technology to create VR porn.

Nowadays, you can experience 3DXChat, in which players use an avatar to have simulated sex with each other, or by using sex toys like the LoveBotz iFuk VR Stroker with adjustable goggles that render VR in an advanced 3D format so you can have an interactive VR experience while watching VR porn.

Pretty freaking future-fantastic!

Yes! We have come a long way Baby! 😉
