O’My O Clitoral Stimulating Pleasure Gel

o-my-clit-gelO’My O Clitoral Stimulating Pleasure Gel is the first sensation balm I ever tried.  I was working at the adult sex shop for about a week when I asked one of the girls which she would recommend.  She said O’My, so I bought it.

Sensations balms are not lubricants, but are designed to improve clitoral sensitivity.  The original recipe that I bought over a year ago used to contain a sensitizing agent called l-arginine.  L-arginine is an amino acid that has numerous functions in the body, including is use in erectile dysfunction (Viagra).  It works by enhancing the action of nitric oxide which allows the blood vessels in the penis dilate, increasing blood flow, which helps maintain an erection.  As clitoral stimulator is works much the same way, dilating the blood vessels and increasing blood flow, thus sensitivity.  Unfortunately, it has also been found to aggravate symptoms for people who have genital herpes and so, O’My has removed l-arginine from their O Clitoral gel and replaced it with menthol.  Menthol is the active ingredient in many other pleasure gels including Kama Sutra’s Spearmint Stimulating Pleasure Balm (the one that burned me).

I was a bit tentative at first, so tried the smallest little daub on the hood of my clitoris. The instructions recommend the size of a tear-drop. After about a minute or so I felt a slight tingle.  After a few minutes everything seemed okay so I put on another dab and began rubbing it in.  After a bit, my clit felt cool, then not much after that, except a little irritable and it was a little harder to climax.  Overall, I didn’t enjoy the sensation, nor did it improve the quality of my masturbation.  I don already have a very sensitive clitoris, however, so likely this product would be of little use to me.

For someone who has a problem with clitoral stimulation and needs a boost, this might be just the things to work for you. The new improved formula does not work as well as the old formula that had the L-arginine, in my opinion, at least not for me.  It is too bad they don’t have two formulas available.  If I were to recommend a good sensation lube, I would go with ID Sensation Warming Liquid.

The ingredients to this include: Water, Vegetable Glycerin, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Hemp Seed Oil, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Menthol, and Citric Acid.
