Icicles No.17 Glass Dildo Review

The Icicles No.17 Glass Dildo is part of a new line of 36 hand blown glass massagers by Pipedreams.  In my opinion, it is also one of the prettiest of the bunch as well.  No Green Sex Toy Month would be complete without a glass sex toy in the mix, and I am fairly impressed with the quality of these glass sculptures from Pipedreams.

The No.17 is hand blown using medical grade Pyrex Glass which is non-toxic, non porous, hypoallergenic and phthalate free.  Because it is made of Pyrex Glass, it is shatter-proof, meaning if you do tend to drop it on a hard surface it would break into large pieces rather than shatter into shivers.  I could not discern any visible flaws or bubbles in the glass, which is what you should look out for when buying glass sex toys, as flaws can make the glass weak and break.  So, unless you knock it against something hard and create a flaw, these dildos are very safe to use, so you shouldn’t worry about breakage.

The dildo is sleek and elegant with a subtle S curve and a pronounced bulbous head perfect for hitting the G spot.  The G spot responds best to firm stimulation and glass is the perfect tool for that.  The insertable length is 8”, but you really only need to insert this 1”-2” where the G spot is found.  The glass is tinted dark blue which is just gorgeous and features a small yellow flower encapsulated in the round bulb on the end.  It is so pretty, you could use it as an ornament and I don’t think most people would be the wiser.

The large rounded head is slightly angled and 1 5/8” diameter to hit the G spot (or P spot) perfectly.  Because it is made of glass you can also use it for temperature play, cooling it or warming it up in hot or cold water.  It is super easy to clean with just mild soap and water.

The Icicles No. 17comes in a nice black and white box which opens up via a magnetic flap to reveal the toy inside encased in Styrofoam.  Perhaps a bit too much packaging for a “green” toy but understandable because it is glass and the manufacturer doesn’t want it to break during shipping.
