I have watched and reviewed several of Nina Hartley’s How-to Guides and usually learn something useful.  Nina’s “guides” are marketed towards hetero couples who often want to add a little spice to their somewhat “vanilla” sexual relationship or learn new sexual techniques.

“Nina Hartley’s Guide To Great Sex During Pregnancy” doesn’t really teach anything new, but encourages expecting couples to stay intimate during the woman’s pregnancy and that, unlike old-fashioned views, it is safe to have sex during pregnancy as long as it is a low risk one.  This DVD guide, like Nina’s others is follows a simple format: Introduction with Nina and a model talking about the subject; demo sex scene; sex scene; and final thoughts.  It also features behind-the-scenes, and interview with Nina and many special features including a bonus scene with another Adam & Eve film.

Scene 1 – Introduction with Nina Hartley and Violet Blue.  Nina “interviews” a very pregnant Violet Blue about being pregnanat and how that has affected he sex drive, pleasure, and other issues to be aware of when having sex during pregnancy.  Nina admits she has never had children herself so relies on Violet to reveal her feelings on the subject.  Other than the obvious: pregnant women like backrubs, and getting creative with positions, the introduction doesn’t really share anything new or enlightening about sex during pregnancy.  Rather, it encourages a healthy sexual attitude for couples who want to continue to have sex while expecting.

Scene 2 – Demo Sex Scene with Nina Hartley and Tiffany Mynx. Tiffany is a super sexy woman whose body has blossomed into a voluptuous goddess of luscious curves and fleshy pleasure.  Her breasts are huge and hot, but Nina doesn’t spend near enough time with them.  Nina talks quite a bit during the scene and the two discuss sex during pregnancy, which could be off-putting to some.  It did take quite a while for the scene to get heated up.  There’s a bit of foreplay and cunninglingus, then Nina penetrates Tiffany in various positions with her strap-on.  Tiffany is really hot and if you are into hot pregnant women as a fetish, Tiffany is your gal.

Scene 3 – Sex Scene between Violet Blue and her real-life lover Dick Danger.  This is Dick’s first plunge into making a porn and he’s pretty hot.  The couple has a nice chemistry.  I didn’t get into Violet’s body as much as I did with Tiffany’s, as her stomach was enormous.  But, hey, different strokes!  The scene features oral sex for both and penetration as well as the climax money shot, that amazingly Dick does well for his first time on screen.

This is not my favorite Nina Hartley “how-to” guide, but for couples who are expecting or fetishists who love pregnant women, I’m sure they would get something out of it.
