Lelo’s Flickering Touch Massage Candle in Vanilla and Crème de Cacao scent

In a word, YUM!  Vanilla is one of my favorite scents and this candle smells delicious.  Slather it over a sexy naked body, and you’ve got a feast for the eyes, hands and lips.  The subtle scent of vanilla gives way to a deeper crème de cacao scent.

Made from all natural soy wax, shea butter, vitamin E and apricot kernel oil, the rich wax of this candle melts into a luxurious massage oil that leaves the skin silky and moisturized.  The candle is 5.3 ounces of low melt soya wax and Lelo says that the candle’s burn time is 36 hours, more than enough time to have several sensual massages with your partner.

The candle is housed in an elegant black ceramic jar with LELO embossed in silver.  Discrete, yet beautiful, perfect for any room.  It comes in an elegant black gift box, so also makes a lovely gift.

To use, burn for 10-20 minutes and then blow out the flame and pour the massage oil on the skin to massage in.  The low melt soy wax feels luxurious and warm on the skin, and spreads well, provided it is still warm.  Once massaged in, it leaves the skin moisturized and slowly seeps into the skin.  I didn’t notice any residue after use, but my skin felt slightly tacky.  Like any candle, to make sure it burns more evenly light it and burn for a few seconds.  Blow it out and trim the wick half-way and then relight.  This will allow the candle to burn more evenly and not pool in the middle.  After use, place the handy silver lid back on to quench the candle flame and keep the candle dust free.

The candle comes with a small “warning” pamphlet, which warns you not to burn yourself and also cautions about skin allergies.  It does contain perfume, so may cause a reaction on sensitive skins, although I didn’t have any problem with it, and my skin is super sensitive.

Ingredients include: glycine soma (soy), butyrospermum parkii (sheer butter), prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil, perfume (benzyl benzoate, vanillin, coumarin).
