Latex Panties & Bondage Tape
This is a “Review by Proxy”, which means I am reviewing these items for a friend of mine, Trixy.
Trixy was looking for something hot to wear for Halifax’s Annual Fetish Ball in May. I sent her a link to my store to check out some of the products and she saw the Latex Black Panties by Pipedreams which intrigued her. So Pipedreams and Sextoy.com were kind enough to send her the panties, plus black bondage tape and Rubba Glow as well to wear to the ball and review.
She was thrilled to get the products to try out and excited about the Ball. Although she had purchased a latex dress elsewhere, she wanted the panties and bondage tape to wear underneath, so she could play and her costume would not get in the way of flogging and any other play she would do at the Ball. Plus, she would still look pretty sexy and be covered (no nudity at the Fet Ball!)
When the products arrived Trixy came over to my house to try on the panties. They fit great and looked awesome on her. I should have taken a photo then, but was waiting for the Ball to take photos of her all dressed up. Unfortunately, the night of the Ball, she wore the latex booty shorts under her dress and within an hour they ripped right up the back, so she couldn’t wear them without her dress. She’s not sure why they would have ripped, she didn’t put any strain on them, and they are supposed to fit tightly. She is also like a size O, so she wasn’t too big to fit into them.
Luckily, she did have extra undies with her and changed into those, sad that her new latex panties had ripped and she didn’t even get a chance to show them off. I’m not sure how durable latex clothes are. I had a latex skirt that ripped the first time I put it on as well. However, I have latex gloves and never had a problem with them. So, I’m not sure if it was just a defect in that one product, or if latex is susceptible to ripping.
Although the panties ripped, she was quite happy with the bondage tape which she made into a corset and the Rubba Glow. I have used the bondage tape myself on many occasions and have been able to reuse it many times if I care for it and roll it up properly. I have also heard from other latex enthusiasts that Rubba Glow is a must for latex clothing. I suspect that most latex clothing is “one wear only” unless you buy the really expensive stuff.
