Original Pocket Rocket
The Pocket Rocket was the second sex toy I ever bought (the first being a plain, hard plastic vibe) and was my favorite clitoral vibe and go-to sex toy for a very long time. Manufactured by Doc Johnson, it is hailed as the “best selling mini massager in the world”. The main reason why is because it is powerful, for something so small and discreet.
Created from hard plastic, the Pocket Rocket is durable, non-porous and easy to clean with mild soap and water. It has a non-phallic, simple design that is shaped like a small travel size flashlight that takes one AA battery. The main drawback to one battery is that is only has one speed, which, comparatively speaking, is not as powerful as I’d like it to be. Both the Pocket Rocket Plus and the Pocket Rocket Booster have multiple speeds and much more power. Still, this vibe would still be great for beginners, as I find over time it takes more power to stimulate me. The vibe’s head has a removable cap that features three metallic beads that are designed to stimulate the clitoris from all sides. It works great to tickles the sides or top of the clitoris, or by applying direct contact.
The Original Pocket Rocket is built to last and my first one lasted me 6 years. I think I still have it kicking around somewhere? I have tried several Rocket knock-offs that haven’t stood the test of time as well, or had as powerful vibrations. One actually broke the first week I used it.
There are many newer and sexier models on the market now that take the Pocket Rocket’s great design and make it even better. These include ones that feature several speeds like the Pocket Rocket Plus, booster features like the Pocket Rocket Booster, and the quieter variety, such as the Silent Rocket.
The Original Pocket Rocket is still a popular toy and has stood the test of time.
